Schrecksbach is a community in the Schwalm in the Schwalm-Eder district in North Hesse.

The community consists of six districts: Holzburg, Schrecksbach (seat of the municipal administration), Röllshausen, Schönberg, Salmshausen and Trockenbach.

Schrecksbach can be easily reached by car via the B254 directly after Alsfeld leads, there connection to the A5. Or you come from the north from the direction kassel, then you can reach Schrecksbach via the A49 near Neuental / Bischhausen (you drive from there via Schwalmstadt. Or just take the A7 exit Homberg (Efze) and then you follow the B254 direction Schwalmstadt-Goat Grove.
