Sindelfingen is home to the largest Daimler production plant, which has given it its present size. The neighboring city also benefited directly from this Boeblingen, which is right next to Sindelfingen and is the namesake for the district.

Please note: the Bahnhofstrasse got its name because it was originally a train station in the neighboring town Boeblingen led. The Sindelfingen train station, which is now served by the S60 S-Bahn, was built in 1914 and can be reached from downtown Sindelfingen via the Mercedesstrasse.
