Sindelfingen is home to the largest Daimler production plant, which has given it its present size. The neighboring city also benefited directly from this Boeblingen, which is right next to Sindelfingen and is the namesake for the district.

After the station has been reactivated for passenger traffic, Sindelfingen can be reached from Böblingen and Renningen via the Rankbachbahn with the S60 S-Bahn. In Boeblingen is the change to the RE's and IC's of the Gäubahn, the S1 direction Stuttgart-Vaihingen, Hauptbahnhof and Herrenberg as well as to the Schönbuchbahn Dettenhausen possible. About Renningen and Leonberg you can take the S60 directly to the main station without having to change (but with a longer journey time and via an additional tariff zone).Feature: no WiFi.

The Sindelfingen city center can be reached with bus lines 701 or 757 from Böblingen bus station, with line 84 from Suttgart-Vaihingen. Buses also go from the S-Bahn station "Goldberg" to 3 Sindelfingen bus station.

Please note: the Bahnhofstrasse got its name because it was originally a train station in the neighboring town Boeblingen led. The Sindelfingen train station, which is now served by the S60 S-Bahn, was built in 1914 and can be reached from downtown Sindelfingen via the Mercedesstrasse.
