In the street
From Salzburg on the A 10 through the Tauern tunnel to St. Michael / Lungau (toll station), then from Tamsweg on the federal road 96 towards Stadl an der Mur. Alternatively, instead of going through the toll tunnel via Radstadt and the scenic Radstätter Tauern Pass with Obertauern, which is primarily known as a winter sports resort (and the Beatles film "Help!") 1,667 m above sea level. In the south, the Flattnitzpass connects Stadl with the Carinthian municipality of Glödnitz. There you can continue to the Ossiacher See, the Wörthersee and Villach.

- Stadler bathing lake. Tel.: 43 (0)3534 2215. The Stadler bathing lake is located on the southern edge of Stadl an der Mur. The shallow embankment and the shallow depth ensure warm water temperatures. There is a children's playground, 2 sand tennis courts, a children's wooden play park, beach volleyball and a small restaurant.
- Rafting on the Mur, registration at Murtaler Hof. Supervision by state-certified boat drivers. All equipment provided: wetsuit, rafting shoes, all-weather jackets, helmet and life jacket. Theoretical introduction, getting to know the boat, behavior in white water, transfer, hot water showers. Trial tour and adventure tour, price on request. Bring a towel, swimming trunks and a good mood. The tours take place with at least 5 participants from June to September daily at 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m.

Stadl is located between two ski areas, the Kreischberg and the Turracher Höhe.
- The Kreischberg offers 11 cable cars and lifts with a total of 29 km of slopes for the whole family and special slopes for adventure seekers.
- The Turracher Höhe at 1,800 m above sea level, offers a natural idyll with 33 km of slopes and 12 cable cars.
In about 20 minutes you are on the Carinthian plateau Flattnitz with a very nice little ski area for all those who want to take it easy. The Gasthof Isopp directly at the air station offers Carinthian specialties, among other things.
