Svealand is a region of the Sweden.

Svealand, or (rarely / historically Sweden Own), is one of the historical regions of which the Sweden. It is located in south-central Sweden, between Norrland is Götaland. Historically its inhabitants were called Svear.
The name of Sweden in Swedish, Svea Rike (today Sverige) or the "Kingdom of the Swedes" originally referred only to Svealand. Other forms are Sweoðeod (Old Norwegian / Icelandic Svíþjóð), is Sweorice. As the domains of the Swedish kings grew, the name Svealand began to be used to distinguish the original territory from the rest, which became Sweden.

Stockholm County - Includes the entire urban area of the capital and part of the surrounding areas.
Uppsala County - Includes much of the ancient province of Uppland and in particular the city of Uppsala. Uppsala is the most famous university center in the country.
