Sławków is a historic city in the voivodeship Silesia in the Krakow-Czestochowa Jura. The place is best known for its medieval old town, which has grown rich through silver and zinc mining in the Middle Ages and its location on the Via Regia trade route. In the Middle Ages, the city was on the section of the Via Regia from Krakow to Wroclaw, a day ride from Krakow.
