There is only one in Tashkent Central Asia subway. The construction of the Tashkent metro line began in 1973 and the first line was put into use in 1977. Currently, the metro has 3 lines (Uzbekistan, Chilanzar and Yanus-Abad) with a total length of 37.5 kilometers and 29 stations. Several more stations are under construction. Metro stations have very interesting architecture and decor. Photography is not allowed in the subway. The cost of the ticket is 200 sums (about $ 0.16) for a journey, but changing to a train of another line does not require the purchase of a new ticket. Trains run quite frequently, waiting times vary from 4 to 10 minutes, depending on the time of day and line type.
