Thiérache
Information
Country

The Thiérache is a natural region of France and of Belgium where we find similar landscape and architectural features: presence of bocage, pasture, hilly land, scattered habitat, traditional houses built in stone or brick with stone inserts and fitted with a slate roof.

Located in the northeast of the department ofAisne, it spills over into the French departments of North and Ardennes, but also in the Belgian provinces of Hainaut and of Namur. It generally corresponds to the western foothills of the Ardennes massif.
