  • Naruto kintoki (鳴 門 金 時) Logo indicating a link to the wikidata element – Among the most refined sweet potatoes. Naruto's sandy soil gives them a thin crust on their surface which allows them to grow peacefully and develop their unique and distinctive flavor and texture. They can be prepared in many ways and are also used for brewing shōchū (a Japanese liqueur). For those who eat them for the first time, try nature to appreciate their qualities without distraction. One way to do this is to wrap the potato tightly in foil and cook it in the oven until it softens. The aroma alone is worth the experience, and the taste will melt you away.
