The Trek around Gruyère lake, goes around an artificial lake stretching from Broc to Rossens.

Understand

This lake is the largest artificial body of water in Switzerland. It resulted from the construction of the Rossens dam erected in 1949.It contains an island (Ile d'Ogoz), accessible on foot when the water level is low (in spring).

Bubble is connected to Freiburg Where Lausanne by the A12 or by the cantonal road and by train by the line Friborg - Bulle, Romont / Palézieux - Lausanne.

Circulate

The hike mentioned here only concerns the southern part of the lake, from Bulle station to Broc.In front of Bulle station, cross the roundabout, to the right, and take the street opposite. Continue straight until the main street. Once there, turn left but take the first right. A path passing towards the castle is on the right. Commit to it. At the roundabout, cross it towards Chemin de Bouleyres (3e exit) and stay on it. After the stadium, continue straight into the forest. At the crossroads of four paths, 400 meters after entering the forest, take the one on the right. It joins a small road. Do not linger there and take the first left, then immediately right. Continue on this path. Arrived in a clearing, turn right and join a larger street, the Route de la Forêt. Continue and descend into the forest, towards Broc. Go over the railway line and go down towards the main street. When you get there, take a ramp opposite and cross the small bridge over the Sarine. When you reach the road, take the street opposite Les Chenevières and continue on it. At the intersection, turn left onto Chemin de la Charrière. Continue on the main road for 50 m then turn left into rue du Bourg de l'Auge. To continue. After having skirted a small wood, take the path on the right. Towards the factory, cross the main road then turn right. Continue on the street. After crossing the Jogne, take the path to the right and turn back to the right just after. Continue along a very short road then enter the forest. Upon exiting, take the first left. Go to the lake and take the path on the right. Walk along the stretch of water. At the end of the path, take the road to the left and cross the bridge. Turn left and take the path along the lake. Take the road at the end of the latter. Pass the Sarine and continue. The road joins the Broc factory. Return to Bulle or to Broc by following the previous directions in the opposite direction.
