Tower Bay is a resort and diving area southeast of the Na'ama Bay of Sharm esch-Sheikh. Ḥaiy en-Nūr is the settlement of the local population. It has two bus stations, two large cathedrals and hospitals.
background
Tower Bay forms the northern end of the resort town Haḍabat Umm es-Sīd, but the hotel density is lower here. It can be assumed, however, that further hotel complexes will be built here.
Further west is the residential area Ḥaiy en-Nūr, Arabic:حي النور, „Residential area 'the light'“, In which mainly the local population and the staff of the hotel complex live.
Between Tower Bay and the Naʿama Bay has been since the withdrawal of the Israeli forces 1 Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) South Camp.
getting there
The resort is located about 15 kilometers south of the 1 Sharm el-Sheikh airport
(IATA: SSH). You can get here by taxi.
The new one is in the district of Ḥaiy en-Nūr 2 East Delta bus stop, Tel .: (0) 65 366 0666. About 200 meters further south is the 3 Bus station from SuperJet, High Jet and Go Bus. The old bus stop behind the Mobil gas station (4 27 ° 53 '36 "N.34 ° 18 ′ 9 ″ E) is not in use anymore. In any case, it makes sense to reserve a seat in good time. Diving areas
Tower
At the Tower Resort or Tower Club there is a snorkel and Diving areaTower Bay. Access via the beach is chargeable for non-hotel guests. To get to the diving area you have to swim over the ten meter wide reef roof. Alternatively, you can start from a diving boat.
The entry to the Tower takes place in the area of the 4 Canyons(27 ° 52 '58 "N.34 ° 19 ′ 31 ″ E)which drops to a depth of 120 meters. There are two caves about 5 meters deep in the canyon. The dive takes place east of the canyon in a circle. On the sandy plateau at a depth of 10 to 25 meters there are soft corals and a few gorgonians. The reef's residents include lionfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, boxfish, mackerel, and barracudas.
The diving area is also suitable for night dives.
Pinky Wall
The 5 Pinky Wall(27 ° 52 '48 "N.34 ° 19 ′ 17 ″ E), the pink wall, also called Pinky’s Wall or Pikies Wall, is a 180 meter deep coral wall that takes its name from the pink soft corals that frequently appear here, the Dendronephthya, had received. A reef roof is almost completely missing. The reef wall is not smooth, but has indentations sloping vertically at approximately even intervals. The reefs are intact because the dive site is rarely visited.
The reef can be reached from the beach in front of the Dreams Beach Hotel or from the boat. Boats cannot anchor here. The drift dive leads in a north-westerly direction. You start at a depth of about 15 meters. With all the beauty of the underwater world, pay attention to the diving depth. A dive in the opposite direction to the amphoras only makes sense when the current is low.
There are sea fans and soft corals on the reef wall. The animal world includes, inter alia. Perch, emperor, parrot and Napoleon wrasse.
