From Berlin Brandenburg Airport(IATA: BER) it is around 60 km to Velten, which can be covered by car in an hour, by bus and train in around 90 minutes.
By train
Velten is on the regional express line RE 6 between train station Berlin / Spandau and Neuruppin and on the regional train line RB 55 between Cramps and Hennigsdorf. The 1 Velten / Mark train station lies a little west of the city center.

The Oberhavel Verkehrsgesellschaft mbH operates bus routes 807 from Hennigsdorf, the bus route 816 from Hohen Neuendorf with the districts Pinnow and Borgsdorf and the bus line 824 from Oranienburg.
