Western Visayas is the western region of Visayas, the archipelago in the center of Philippines.

Territories and tourist destinations
Western Visayas includes 6 provinces of which 4 occupy the territory of Panay Island:
- Aklan, the island where it is located Boracay, the largest seaside resort in Western Visayas
- Antique
- Capiz
- Iloilo Province, where it is located Iloilo City, major center of Panay Island.
The island of Negros consists of two provinces:
- Negros Oriental is considered part of the Central Visayas.
- Negros Occidental houses the largest regional center, Bacolod.
The last province coincides with the island of the same name:
- Guimaras small island in the strait that separates Panay from Negros.
The administrative division of Western Visayas (Region VI) also includes the island of Palawan, located further west but Wikivoyage treats it as a region of its own.
Urban centers
- Bacolod - a busy city famous for hosting the MassKara festival in October.
- Iloilo - Iloilo hosts another very successful festival, Dinagyang.
- Jordan - Capital of the province of Guimaras
- Kalibo - Famous for hosting a world renowned festival, Ati-Atiha, Kalibo is the capital of the province of Aklan, eclipsed by the proximity of the most popular seaside resort of Boracay.
- Roxas - Capital of the province of Capiz.
- San Jose de Buenavista - capital of the province of Antique.
