- Viterbo
- Acquapendente - After Acquapendente the via Cassia enters the territory of Siena. The first center encountered beyond the border between the two provinces is San Quirico d'Orcia.
- Bagnaia - Just 5 km from the Capital, Bagnaia hosts Villa Lante, surrounded by a magnificent 16th century garden.
- Bolsena - On the lake of the same name, Bolsena is a pleasant village with an ancient core dominated by a castle. A secondary road leads to Bagnoregio and his Civita, in a suggestive position on the top of a tufaceous spur.
- Bomarzo - A short distance from the freeway Viterbo-Orte, near the Attigliano junction on the A1, Bomarzo is famous for its Parco dei Mostri, a garden populated by 16th century statues born from the fantasy of the noble Near Orsini.
- Calcata - Located on top of a tuff hill, like many villages in the Viterbo area, Calcata is also the base for excursions to park of the Treja river.
- Canine - In the vicinity of which is the archaeological site of Vulci.
- Capranica
- Cellere - center of the Duchy of Castro in the Renaissance and homeland of the brigand Domenico Tiburzi in the Risorgimento. You can visit the church of Sant'Egidio, a masterpiece by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger (around 1510), and the Banditry Museum. Excellent local production of wines, oil and cheeses.

- 1 Park of the Monsters (Sacred wood of Bomarzo), Bomarzo. Park of the sixteenth century famous for the presence of monstrous or grotesque sculptures and architecture.
Itineraries
- Assuming you leave the capital, Viterbo to enter the Via Cassia in the direction of Siena, we will meet the following centers: Montefiascone, Bolsena is Acquapendente.
- Always on the Via Cassia but in the direction of Rome are the centers of: Vetralla, Capranica is Sutri.
- From Viterbo, a branch of the via Cassia, called via Cassia Cimina (SP1), climbs up on Monti Cimini tapping Ronciglione and the Vico lake to then rejoin the main road.
- From Viterbo on secondary roads that roughly follow the route of the Rome-North railway, you will find the following centers: Bagnaia, Soriano nel Cimino, Vallerano, Corchiano, Civita Castellana is Calcata.
- The north-western area of Viterbo extended to the coasts of the Tyrrhenian Sea is the domain of the Lazio Maremma, a continuation of that Tuscany. Below is a list of its centers: Tuscania, Valentano, Piansano, Cellere, Ischia di Castro, Canine, Montalto di Castro is Pescia Romana. In this area are the ruins of the destroyed city of Castro and the remains of the ancient castle of Vulci.
