The small town Waipawa originated around 1860, it is the capital of the Central Hawke’s Bay District. In a large company, fruit is packed for export.

By plane

The nearest regional airport is in Napier and can be reached by car in just over 1 hour. There are daily connections from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. There are also three connections a week Blenheim.

By train

The railroad tracks in the city are only used for freight transport.

By bus
