The Balkantrasse panorama bike path leads through the city on the disused railway line between Leverkusen-Opladen and Remscheid-Lennep. Also comes the Bergisches Panorama cycle path from Solingen added.

- 1 Evangelical town church, Market 6. Tel.: 49(0)2196 7290060. The current building replaced a previous building from the 11th century in 1838. The tower dates back to the 12th century.
- Bergisch slate houses in the city center (especially on the market and on the Eich)
- Redwoodtree, Obere Remscheider Strasse, corner of Carl-Leverkus-Strasse. Sequoia tree planted in 1870, which is decorated with lamps for one of the largest living Christmas trees in Europe every year during Advent.
- 2 Great Dhünn dam, Lindscheid 17th. Second largest drinking water reservoir in Germany.

Wermelskirchen is particularly well-known, as is the Bergisches Land for the Bergische Waffeln. The Wild confectionery is also famous.
