- 1 Continental deep drilling project. The KTB was a major geoscientific research project. In 1994 a depth of 9,101 meters was reached, making it the deepest borehole in Germany. The 83 m high derrick can be seen from afar and is still the world's largest land drilling rig - today it is Geo center and depth observatory an information and educational facility where the visitor is informed about current geoscientific and geotechnical topics at events and special exhibitions.
- 2 Waldnaab Valley Museum, in the Neuhaus Castle is not a classic knight's seat, but rather a fortified hunting lodge with the 23 m high Butter churn tower.
- The 3 Support villa at Bahnhofstrasse 29, a castle-like building in Art Nouveau style, built around 1880.

The is brewed Zoigl for almost 600 years by those authorized to brew in the communal breweries in Windischeschenbach and in the Neuhaus district. The Zoigl is a bottom-fermented beer that only contains the naturally occurring carbonic acid. A six-pointed star (guild sign of the brewers) hanging on the house gable indicates that "Zoigl" is being served there. The half price from € 2.10, plus home-made snacks, reservations are not possible, from time to time music from randomly present musicians.
