Tirschenreuth is a city in Naabtal in the Pen country north of the Upper Palatinate Forest and south of the Fichtelgebirge.

The nearest airports are in Nuremberg (144 kilometers) and in Carlsbad (Karlovy Vary, 84 kilometers) in the Czech Republic.

There is a glider airfield to the west of the city.

The closest train station is in Wiesau, around 17 kilometers away.
