Vladivostok (Russian: Владивосток, Capital of the Russian region Primorye) not only represents the end point of the Trans-Siberian Railway and an important port city in the developing east trade, but is also picturesquely located and has a handsome, reborn inner city.

The center of Vladivostok, the Frunzensky rajon (Фрунзенский район) is located on the west side of a peninsula which separates the Amur and Ussuri Bay. Their headland Egerschel'd (Эгершельд} protects the entrance to the seaport.
The eastern district around the port is the Pervomajskij rajon (Первомайский район). The northern suburbs form the Sovetsky rajon (Советский район) and Trudowoe Трудовое). This is followed by Artyom (53 km from the city center)Артем), which is its own big city with over a hundred thousand inhabitants.
The most important economic factor is and will remain the port through which not only a large part of the Siberian imports and exports pass, but also continues to be the base of the Russian Pacific fleet. Because of this naval base, Vladivostok was a city closed to foreigners during the Soviet era. Whoever wanted to reach Japan from the end of the Trans-Siberian had to take the ferry Nachodka to take.
In the run-up to the APEC summit In 2012, extensive infrastructure improvements were carried out: airport expansion, three large bridges and a new university in the Far East.

The 4,362-meter-long, low Nizkovodnyy Bridge between the De Vries Peninsula and Sedanka train station shortens the journey to Vladivostok.
