  • The magnificent palace and park complex, one of the finest magnate mansions in Poland of the late Baroque period, is undoubtedly the pride of the city. It was built in 1626, and in the years 1768-1773 rebuilt by bishop Antoni Ostrowski according to the design of Franciszek Placidi, intended as a summer residence of the bishops of Kujawy. There are three breaks in the front elevation and a central break in the garden elevation. The ryzites are topped with triangular pediments and arches, and the walls are varied with pilasters. This two-story building is covered with a hipped roof. Outbuildings closing the courtyard are arranged symmetrically on the sides of the main building. The palace is surrounded by a rectangular park, symmetrical to the main axis. Dense rows of lime trees growing on the sides emphasize the perspective of the garden. Currently, the palace is open to the public.
