North Aegean Islands - one of the 13 administrative regions Greece, spread over the islands of the northern Aegean Sea (north of Dodecanese and Cyclades, excluding Northern Sporades, Euboea, Thassos and Samothrace). The region is bordered by other administrative units by the sea - on the west with the region Central Greece and region Thessaly, from the north with the region Central Macedonia and the region East Macedonia and Thrace. There is a region in the south South Aegean Islands and in the east Turkey.
The capital of the region is the city Mytilene on the island Lesbos.
