Überetsch - Überetsch

The region Überetsch (Italian: Oltradige) is southwest of Bolzano in South-Tirol to find. The holiday region lies at an altitude of 200 to 500 m and has a Mediterranean climate. Wine is grown on the southern slopes.

  • On the Sunday two weeks after Corpus Christi, various figures from burning candles and mountain fires on individual peaks light up on the mountains. The Heart of Jesus fire comes from the time when the Tyroleans fought for their freedom.
