The 58.17 km² large and up to 237 m high island Šolta is a medium-sized island in the Adriatic Sea in Croatia. The island has (nominally) around 1,700 permanent residents.

From Germany and Austria via the Tauern Autobahn, Villach, the Karawanken tunnel or via the Pyhrnautobahn Ljubljana or Maribor, continue over Zagreb on the Croatian A 1 motorway to exit 25 Dugopolje, from there continue on the expressway to Split. From Split, the ferry goes four to six times a day to Rogač on the island of Šolta. Alternatively, but much slower to Split on the Adriatic highway. From Switzerland you can travel via Verona and Trieste to Rijeka be cheaper.
By train
You can get there by train Zagreb to Split, from there by ferry.
By boat

Tourist Attractions
- In Grohote there is a fortified tower from the 17th century. There is also an 18th century castle that is now a hotel.
