Urban centers

  • Bormio - At the mouth of the Valfurva, where the Frodolo that descends from its mountains merges with the Adda, Bormio was an ancient center of trade between Milanese, Veneto and Germanic nations. To this he now adds the tourist activity, summer and winter, which makes it a center of solid economy and even more solid reputation.
  • Grosio - Ancient village at the bottom of the valley at the confluence of Val Grosina in Valtellina, it is especially important for its Park of rock engravings downstream of the town, where there are thousands of Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Age engravings attributed to Camunian populations.
  • Livigno - northernmost town in Lombardy, it is a renowned ski and holiday resort. "Daily" tourism is also developed as the municipality has a statute extra-customs (the goods are exempt from most taxes and therefore cheaper).
  • Bouquet of Valtellina - Small mountain village with medieval and sixteenth-century remains.
  • Santa Caterina Valfurva

Fort of Oga
  • The Venini Fort of Oga, Valdisotto (1,730 m a.s.l.), @. Ecb copyright.svg2,00 € (2014). Simple icon time.svgOpen every day from the end of June - the end of September from 10 to 12 and from 14 to 17. Built between 1908 and 1912, it mainly had a defensive function. For the construction, all the rules of military architecture were followed: large blocks of stone were used, covered with a very thick layer of concrete and enormous quantities of gravel and sand extracted from the nearby Val Cadolena. The guns, with a maximum range of 12,800 m, could hit targets on the Stelvio. In the period of the Republic of Salò it was used by the fascists and the Germans as a base. In the spring of 1945 the Partisans liberated the fort.
