Ambérieu-en-Bugey is a municipality and a small town in the region Rhône-Alpes in France. It is located in theAin and is the second largest city in the district of Belley and the third from Ain.

Understand

The city counted 13 350 inhabitants in 2009. It was also nicknamed “City of Autobiography” because of the presence of the headquarters of the Association for Autobiography and Autobiographical Heritage (APA).

Ambérieu station, located at the junction of the Mâcon - Ambérieu line with the Lyon - Geneva line, is served by many TER from Lyon, of Bourg-en-Bresse, of Builder, of Dijon, of Besancon, of Strasbourg, of Culoz, of Geneva, ofAix les Bains and of Chambery.
