Ambérieu-en-Bugey is a municipality and a small town in the region Rhône-Alpes in France. It is located in theAin and is the second largest city in the district of Belley and the third from Ain.

The city counted 13 350 inhabitants in 2009. It was also nicknamed “City of Autobiography” because of the presence of the headquarters of the Association for Autobiography and Autobiographical Heritage (APA).

Ambérieu station, located at the junction of the Mâcon - Ambérieu line with the Lyon - Geneva line, is served by many TER from Lyon, of Bourg-en-Bresse, of Builder, of Dijon, of Besancon, of Strasbourg, of Culoz, of Geneva, ofAix les Bains and of Chambery.
Tracks A and B correspond to the line coming from Bourg-en-Bresse and Mâcon and tracks C and D to those coming from Geneva and Chambéry. The F track is only used for certain trains departing from Ambérieu and the E track serves as the terminus for some of the trains arriving from Lyon.
By car
Since Paris, take the highway A6 in the direction of Lyon. Take the highway A40 once arrived at Builder to Ambérieu-en-Bugey.

Composed of 3 lines and 50 stops, this urban network serves the various districts of the city from the SNCF station.
