The Ammerland park landscape is located in northwest Germany between the Weser and Ems and is equipped with numerous gardens and parks like hardly any other region. Culinary

  • Smoortaal - Eels have been caught in the Zwischenahner Meer for centuries. The eels are smoked and as Smoortaal sold. You are not squeamish when it comes to eating - the eels are eaten by hand. It's a lot of fun and it promotes sociability when things don't go so smoothly.

It is a typical winter vegetable and is also known as brown, leaf, pick or winter cabbage.
  • Ammerland spoon drink - The spoon drink is drunk from tin spoons that are held in the left hand. After the pouring, a toast is spoken. Now no more drops are allowed to lick the spoon, otherwise the ritual is repeated.
