getting there
Bad Salzuflen is located on the federal highway 239. The A 2 federal motorway touches the city area and ensures quick access from the east and west via the junctions (28) Ostwestfalen / Lippe, (29) Herford / Bad Salzuflen and (31) External.
The city lies on the Herford – Altenbeken railway line (KBS 405). It is operated every hour by the RB 72 OstwestfalenbahnHerford–location–Detmold–Altenbeken–Paderborn served. There are other train stations in the districts of Schötmar and Sylbach.

The city area has been served by a city bus system since 1984. The buses meet on weekdays every 30/60 minutes at the rendezvous point in the city center, on Sundays there is an hourly service in the afternoon. With regional buses from the ZOB are Bielefeld, Herford, Lemgo and Leopoldshöhe as well as Vlotho on weekdays. Bad Salzuflen belongs to the OstWestfalenLippe transport association (Der Sechser).
The long-distance cycle routes wellness cycle route and Weser – Lippe (BahnRadRoute) cross Bad Salzuflen.
There is a motorhome park with 35 parking spaces on the Forsthausweg in the Flachsheide stadium. A Holiday Clean system is available for supply and disposal, and there are also numerous power connection pillars.

In the city center, a pedestrian zone with numerous specialist shops and cafés stretches from the Salzhof to the graduation towers and the spa gardens. A new shopping area with a supermarket and a specialist trade center as well as various discounters was created on Hoffmannstrasse.
