East Central Barbados
The parishes of Saint Andrew, Saint George, Saint John, Saint Joseph and Saint Thomas. The east coast is the side of the Atlantic and is the island's most rugged coast.
Western Barbados
The parishes of Saint James, Saint Peter and Saint Lucy. The west coast is the coast of the Caribbean Sea and is the calmest coast on the island. Holetown and Speightstown are the two main cities.
Southern Barbados
The parishes of Christ Chruch and Saint Thomas. Includes St. Lawrence Gap, a place full of bars and restaurants, Oistins and Grantley Adams International Airport.

Cities

  • 1 Bathsheba
  • 2 Bridgetown  – Capital and largest city in the country.
  • 3 Holetown  – Located on the west coast.
  • 4 Speightstown (Little Bristol)  – Second largest city in the country.

Other destinations

  • Folkestone Marine Park  – Folkestone Marine Park is a great place for snorkeling. The departure is easy from the beach and it is an ideal place to introduce children. The coral reef on the other hand is not deep and you can rub against it in several places; to avoid. Visibility there was good without being exceptional during a visit in December 2005. A relatively large swell made diving a little more difficult (risk of clashing with corals, drifting offshore). Lots of fish but usually alone, no schools. A turtle was walking slowly and it was easy to observe it for long minutes. The trumpet fish also offered an interesting spectacle with their color changes.
