Since the Würzburg – Fulda – Kassel – Hanover high-speed line went into operation, Bebra has largely lost its function as a transfer station for long-distance traffic. Most of the extensive track systems have been shut down. There are only a few tracks left. Some ICE and IC of the east-west lines to the Ruhr area, to Leipzig, Dresden and Berlin still stop.
The 1 Bebra train station is well connected with local transport. There are connections to Fulda, Göttingen, Kassel and Eisenach.

Coming from Bad Hersfeld, Bebra is on the federal road 
crossed. Coming from Rotenburg an der Fulda, the main road opens 
in Bebra.
