Chamalières is a town located in the department of Puy de Dome, in the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, on the western outskirts of Clermont-Ferrand.

Parking
There is a charge for parking on the streets of the city. The municipality has set up three zones, the price of which varies according to the distance from the city center:
- Red zone (Mon.- sat. : 9 h - 12 h and Mon.- Fri. : 14 h - 19 h, 1,2 € per hour, limited to 2 hours) ;

By bus

- Line 5, operated with small buses, connects Place Gaillard to Clermont-Ferrand in Royat, via Chamalières (Banque de France, town hall, crossroads Europe). This runs every day (on Sundays, this line continues to Durtol); tram connection at the Gaillard stop.
- Line 10 serves avenue Joseph Claussat (connection from Durtol to Aulnat), and runs from Monday to Saturday.
- Line 13 connects Hauts de Chamalières to Aubiere or Pérignat-lès-Sarliève.

Vélo is a self-service bicycle and bicycle rental service available in Clermont-Ferrand and some neighboring municipalities including Chamalières. Several stations for bicycles have been set up in the town, in particular Square de Verdun (near the town hall).
It is easier to cycle around the town hall and the Europe crossroads than in the heights. Courage if you try to climb the heights of Chamalières (steep slope).
