Ciężkowice Mountains - Ciężkowice-Gebirge

winter

The Ciężkowice promontory is a foothills in the West Beskids promontory in the voivodships Lesser Poland and Subcarpathianthat are located north to the Lower Beskids adjoins and in the north to Sandomir Basin enough. The Liwocz is the highest mountain at 562 m.

getting there

The area is well developed for tourism. You can arrive via Tarnów.

War cemeteries

At the beginning of the First World War, bitter fighting raged in the mountains between the advancing Russian army and the army of Austria-Hungary. Therefore, there are numerous military cemeteries from the First World War here.
