Cork is the largest county in the Republic of Ireland. In terms of population, it comes second after Dublin region.
North Cork

- Newmarket in the northwest, 50 km from Cork
- Charleville to the north halfway between Cork and Limerick
- Mitchelstown in the northeast, 22 km from Cahir
- Millstreet to the west, 40 km from Killarney.
West Cork
Own city administrations have:
- Bantry, at the east end of the bay Bantry Bay, within sight of Whiddy Island
- Skibbereen at the Southwest corner Ireland, not far from Sherkin Island and Clear Island
- Clonakilty at the South coast.
Places worth seeing for tourists:
- Baltimore is a small place with a harbor. It is one of the southernmost places in Ireland and is located southwest of Skibbereen.
- Castletownbere on the peninsula Beara on the north side of Bantry Bay.
- Glengarriff on the peninsula Beara on the north side of Bantry Bay.
- Allihies is a small, colorful village on the Ring of Beara, and the cable car to Dursey Island is nearby (12 km). The is also recommended Healy Passconnecting the towns of Lauragh in the north and Adrigole in the south of the peninsula (R574).
Landscapes:
- The peninsula lies north of Bantry Bay Beara (a part belongs to the County Kerry).
- Just south of Bantry Bay is the Dunmanus Peninsula.
- South of the Dunmanus Peninsula is the Mizen peninsula.
- East of the city of Bantry are the Gougane Barra Forest Park, the Shehy Mountains and the locality Dunmanway.
South Cork
