Dalmatia - historical land in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro on the eastern Adriatic coast. It is part of the Balkans.
It stretches along the Adriatic coast, from the island of Pag in the north to the Bay of Kotor in the south, forming a strip up to 50 km wide and about 400 km long. It also includes around 1,000 offshore islands (with a total area of approx. 13,000 km²).
