Dietenheim is a small town in Baden-Wuerttemberg. It lies on the left bank of the Iller and belongs to the region Upper Swabia.

Dietenheim was first mentioned in a document in 973. In 1280 the place received city rights. From 1539 to 1805 the city was owned by the Fugger, then Dietenheim came to Württemberg and initially lost its town charter. In 1953, the place was raised again to the city. The formerly independent town of Regglisweiler was incorporated in 1972.

The neighboring towns Balzheim, Wain, Schwendi and Illerrieden belong to Baden-Württemberg, the eastern neighbor Illertissen located in Bavaria.
