Dornhan is a small town in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The state-approved resort is located at the transition from Korngäus to the Middle Black Forest.

background

The small town of Dornhan is on the edge of the Black Forest Dornhan plate, it is bordered by the river valleys of the Heimbach, the Glatt and the Neckar. In 1276 Dornhan received city rights. After town fires in the 16th century and in 1718, 1801, 1847 and 1888, not too many sights remained.

In the course of a community reform, the formerly independent villages of Bettenhausen, Busenweiler, Dornhan, Fürnsal, Leinstetten, Marschalkenzimmern and Weiden were incorporated.

Neighboring communities are Sulz am Neckar, Oberndorf am Neckar, Alpirsbach, Lossburg, Smooth and Schopfloch.
