Alpirsbach is a city in the upper Kinzigtal.

The town of Alpirsbach is located in the upper Kinzig valley in the district Freudenstadt. It goes back to a Benedictine monastery that was founded in 1095. The Romanesque church was consecrated in 1128. After the Reformation, the monastery became a Protestant monastery office in the 16th century. In 1869 Alpirsbach received city rights. Since the last municipal reform in 1974, Alpirsbach has a total of 7 districts, in addition to the core town of Alpirsbach, these are Rötenbach, Ehlenbogen, Reinerzau, Peterzell, Reutin and Römlinsdorf. A number of hamlets and farms still belong to the city.

In the street

The city is on the route of the B294 and the B462 between Freudenstadt and Schiltach and has access to the A8 at Pforzheim, to the A81 at Rottenburg and to the A5 at Lahr.
