The international Réunion Roland Garros airport is about eight kilometers east of the island's capital Saint-Denis in the north of Réunion and is the main airport on the island.

The official French name of the airport is Aéroport de La Réunion Roland Garros, Name giver is the French aviation pioneer Roland Garros, who was born in Réunion. The old name of the airport was Gillot.

The airport has two runways with a length of 3,200 and 2,670 meters, respectively, and the Boeing B747 can land.

It is the main base for the island's airline, Air Austral.

The airport is directly connected to the center of Saint-Denis (Océan transfer station) via a shuttle bus (operator CINOR): departure approx. Every hour, travel time approx. 20 minutes, operating from approx. 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., ticket approx. 5, - €.

The airport has one terminal with six passenger boarding bridges. The modern building was designed by the architect Frizel, the pillars are stylized as palm trees.

There is also a freight terminal.
