Frosinone is a city of the Latina Valley and of the Lazio southern.
To know
Capital of the Frosinone area, it is an industrial and commercial center and an important communication hub in southern Lazio.
Geographical notes
Situated on a hill overlooking the Sacco valley (also known as the middle Latina Valley), Frosinone is surrounded by the Ernici mountains to the north and the Lepini mountains to the southeast. The historic and original core of the city is located on the hilly area.

Tourists populate the town especially in summer and, generally, during the weekends.
Background
Volscian city with the name of Frusna and then Roman as Frùsino, in the course of its history due to its position has been subject to devastation and looting and destruction due to seismic events, however it retains some important traces of its past.

By plane
In the municipal area there is the military airport named after Girolamo Moscardini, seat of the training department of the Air Force.
By car
The center is connected through the homonymous motorway exit to the A1 motorway Milan-Naples. Other important arteries are the state road 6 Via Casilina which connects Rome to Campania; the regional road 214 Maria and Isola Casamari which connects it to the Liri valley it's at Sora; the state road 156 dei Monti Lepini which leads to Latina; the state road 155 of Fiuggi which connects its territory to the Roman countryside and to Fiuggi.

The Frosinone station is served by the Rome-Cassino-Naples.

- Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Mother Church of the Diocese of Frosinone-Veroli-Ferentino.
- Abbey church of San Benedetto. 12th century abbey church with the oldest art gallery in the city.
- Sanctuary of the Madonna della Neve. The original chapel dates back to the seventeenth century, severely damaged by the bombings of the Second World War and was rebuilt as a sanctuary in the fifties.
- governament Palace. Important city palace built in the 19th century.
- Roman amphitheater. Ruins of the archaeological site dating back to between the 1st and 2nd centuries.

- Cassino - For centuries the administrative center of the ancient Land of San Benedetto, the city develops at the foot of the hill on which stands the famous abbey of Montecassino, for which it is mainly known. However, it also boasts important testimonies of its Roman past: amphitheater, theater, mausoleum, nymphaeum, urban walls of the archaeological park Casinum.
