The GR-131 also becomes Ruta El Bastón called. The route from the south: Faro de Fuencaliente - Fuencaliente (Los Canarios) - Refugio de El Pilar - Punta de los Roques - Roque de los Muchachos - Puerto de Tazacorte
Faro de Fuencaliente - Fuencaliente (Los Canarios)
The route leads through the youngest landscape in Spain, because it was created in 1971 by the eruption of the Teneguia volcano. From sea level you have to overcome 700 meters in altitude on this 10 km long route. On the way you should make a short detour to the windy peak of the Teneguia volcano. At the foot of the mountain you can still find hot ones Fumaroles. If you want, you can visit the visitor center for volcanism on the crater rim of the San Antonio volcano. For safety reasons, the ideally shaped crater cannot be completely circled.

Fuencaliente (Los Canarios) to El Pinar forest rest area
The place has changed name again and again in the recent past, now it is called again Los Canarios. On the volcano route to El Pinar we climb over the volcano San Martin (1529 m) up to 1931 m (Mirador de las Deseadas). For this 18 km long stage you should plan 7 hours because of the ascent. Alternatively, split it into two there and back stages, Los Canarios - San Martin or Deseada and back. And El Pinar - Deseade / San Martin and back.
El Pinar - Pico de la Nieve
Ridge hike over the Cumbre Nueva. The first part up to the Reventon Pass is quite boring. Many hikers climb up to the pass at the visitor center on the road to Los Llanos over the Eremita Virgen del Pino.

Roque del los Muchachos - El Time
Descent at the crater rim of 2427 m. From the Mirador El Time steep descent over steps to Puerto de Tazacorte.
Stages on La Gomera
Two stages
- Start in San Sebastian de la Gomera
- End in Vallehermoso
Stages in Tenerife
security
Do not leave the path. Don't make a fire. Don't hike alone. Inform someone about the planned route. Take a cell phone, enough water and provisions with you. Make sure you have adequate sun protection. Clothing and shoes should match the difficulty of the tour. You should be prepared for changes in the weather. Clouds, fog and wind can quickly spoil the pleasure of hiking.
Go on
To continue hiking on the E7, you must take a flight or sea voyage to Lisbon.
