Geographical notes
Germignaga is a city in the province of Varese, through which the Margorabbia River flows, originating from the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore.
When to go
There is a temperate climate with cold and wet winters and hot summers. Precipitation is rich. Given the temperatures, it is preferable to visit the city in the months from April to early July. Average annual rainfall: between 1800 and 2500 mm.
Background
Traces of the Romans are found among the earliest sources. The name "Germignaga" appears for the first time in a deed of sale dated September 807.

By plane
The nearest airport is Milan-Malpensa. Later you can enter the province of Varese via the A8 motorway.
By car

SP69 connects Sesto Calende in Germignaga (passes by Ispra is Laveno Mombello). - There
SS394 connects Cuveglio with Zenna (Swiss border) and passes through the border between Not him and Germignaga.

On the train
The nearest station is located at Not him and you can get there through from Germignaga through the 
SS394
- S30 Line (Bellinzona-Cadenazzo-Gallarate).
- To arrive from Milan you can use the line Milan-Gallarate then go to the line Gallarate-Not him.

The country has a direct bus system from Varesine bus lines
By bike
Along the Margorabbia River there is a cycle path that advances for several km with a couple of stops.
TO Cassano Valcuvia the route is divided into two branches:
