      Jakarta metropolitan area (Jakarta Raya) - The region of the capital and its suburbs, characterized by one of the highest population densities in the world. The archipelago of A thousand islands (Kepulauan Seribu), a trendy vacation spot among Indonesians working abroad.
      Banten - The western territory separated from the island of Sumatra from the straits of the Sunda. It constituted a sultanate that managed to remain independent until 1813, after which it was subjugated by the Dutch. Its main attraction is the Ujung Kulon National Park.
      Bogor Raya - The territory of the city of Bogor on the plateau south of Jakarta characterized by a temperate climate and extensive tea plantations.
      Parahyangan - The mountainous area around the city of Bandung, summer residence of the Dutch governors and today very popular for the possibility of excursions to the lakes and thermal springs of the surroundings
      Eastern Parahyangan - Region of high volcanoes and beaches on the south coast of Java.
