Głogów (German: Glogau) is a historic city in the polish Voivodeship Lower Silesia at the Or in the Silesian Plain. In the Middle Ages, the capital of the principality of the same name was one of the most important trading centers in Lower Silesia. The city is known for its rich copper deposits. Badly damaged in the Second World War, its monuments are being rebuilt step by step.

The old town with the market square and the numerous listed town houses and churches are particularly worth seeing.

- 4 Glogau Castle. Castle of the Dukes of Glogau from the Silesian Piast dynasty, originally built as a castle in the 12th century. The brick keep dates from the 13th century and is still preserved today. In the 17th century the complex was completely rebuilt except for the keep and was given a baroque style. The castle houses an archaeological-historical museum.

- 5 town hall. The Renaissance town hall from the late 16th century was rebuilt in the classicist style in 1823–1835. The town hall was badly damaged during the siege of Glogau in 1945. The reconstruction took place from 1984 to 2002.
- 6 Andreas Gryphius Theater. Built from 1798 to 1799 in a classical style, it is named after the city's most famous son, the Baroque poet Andreas Gryphius. It burned down in the Second World War and remained in ruins for decades. It was rebuilt in 2017-19.
