Tourist Attractions

One of the three preserved peace churches in Silesia is in Jawor. Two of them - in Jawor and Świdnica (Schweidnitz) - belong to World Heritage of UNESCO. The Protestant peace churches are characterized by the fact that, after the Thirty Years' War, they only consisted of "perishable" materials, i.e. H. Above all wood and clay were allowed to be built in the Catholic region of Silesia. For this purpose, their builders designed the interior of the churches in the most beautiful splendor of the Silesian Baroque.
