Hasselfelde is a district of the town of "Oberharz am Brocken" and a state-approved climatic health resort in the Harz district in Saxony-Anhalt. The place is ideal for excursions, quite centrally on the plateau of the Eastern Harz.

Hasselfelde is part of the rail network Harz narrow-gauge railway (HSB), through which, among other things, the cities Wernigerode, Nordhausen and Quedlinburg can be reached.

- hike - A nice destination for a hike or a short bike tour is z. B. the Carlshaus observation tower, which can be found about 6 km southwest of Hasselfelde at an altitude of 626 m. - Rappbodetalsperre (about 5 km north) - largest dam in the Harz Mountains. The reservoir is used as a drinking water reservoir. Water sports and swimming are therefore not permitted. The 106 m high dam is worth a detour. The barrier may be driven on with motor vehicles.
- Bodetal at Thale (about 15 km northeast), with the famous granite rocks Hexentanzplatz and Rosstrappe. Both rocky cliffs with a beautiful view can be reached by cable car or chairlift. The rugged Bodetal between Treseburg and Thale is ideal for hiking enthusiasts.
- Show caves Baumanns- and Herrmannshöhle as Büchenberg show mine in the cave location Rübeland (about 8 km north).
- Great Auerberg (579 m) with observation tower Joseph Cross at Stolberg (about 15 km southwest).
