Heimsheim is a city in Heckengäu, it lies in the southeast of the Enzkreis.
background
Heimsheim was mentioned in a document as early as 965, in 1295 it was first designated as a city. A hundred years later the place became during the war of Count Eberhard III from Württemberg against the Schleglerbund largely destroyed.
The neighboring towns Tiefenbronn, Friolzheim and Mönsheim belong to the Enzkreis, Because of the city, Renningen, Rutesheim and Weissach are in the district of Böblingen.
