Houses is a community in Black Forest, it is in the northeast of the Hotzenwaldes between the valleys of the Alb and the Schwarza.
background
The community of Häuser lies at an altitude between 900 m and 1200 m and has been recognized as a climatic health resort since 1971. Direct neighboring communities are Höchenschwand, St. Blasien and Schluchsee.

- 3 Power plant houses. Tel.: 49 (0) 7763 9278-80131. The Hütten power plant is part of the Schluchsee pumped storage plant. Free guided tour Thursday 2 p.m. or by appointment. The water comes from the upper Schluchsee basin (930 m) and after the power plant it reaches the lower Schwarzatalsperre basin (723 m), from here it goes to the next level in the Witznau basin (474 m).
