The village of Johnsbach has a small town center by the church and in the lower part of the middle section of the valley, otherwise houses and farmsteads with scattered settlements are spread along the street in the middle and upper section of the valley.

The around 450 m long Odelstein Cave extends from neighboring Eisenberg via Radmer to Johnsbach, to see there are greenish-blue aragonite crystals and beautiful formations of the iron blossom and calcareous sinter formations. In 1931 the cave was declared a natural monument, it was heavily plundered by mineral collectors in 1910 and then again in the 1980s, then closed and has only been accessible since then with a guided tour. The access to the cave is 1085 meters above sea level and is not safe from avalanches: opening times May to October, access via the Kölblwirt, hard-wearing clothing makes sense.
