Kahla is a city in Thuringia with an almost completely preserved medieval town center.
getting there
City of Kahla
Kahla is up to the B 88 of Jena to Rudolstadt, on which one can only make very leisurely progress. The next motorway exit is the A4 in 
53 Jena-Göschwitz.
It's faster with the hourly regional trains of the Saalebahn (Relation Naumburg-Saalfeld) to the 1 Kahla train station. The train service is supplemented with regional diesel trains that run every 2nd hour between Poessneck and Jena Commute hall station. The next long-distance train station is Erfurt, which is about three quarters of an hour away with a change in Jena-Göschwitz.
In addition to the railway, there are also intercity buses from Jena, Neustadt (Orla) and Hermsdorf.

- The Saaleradweg runs along the Saale and thus through Kahla.
