Kiruna

Kiruna belongs to the region Lapland and is the northernmost city Sweden. At the same time, Kiruna is the largest city in the Swedish part Lapland.

getting there

By plane

SAS offers direct flights (also via Umeå) of Stockholm Arlanda. There are also flights operated by Norwegian Airshuttle from Stockholm (usually cheaper than SAS). The flight time from Stockholm is 1.5 hours and the subsequent transfer to the city center is another 15 minutes.

By train

The train journey from Stockholm takes 16 hours with the state railway company SJ. The trains have sleeping cars that can be booked for an extra charge.
