sound (Malay: sound, IPA: [ˈklæŋ], Chin .: 巴 生) is a city in the Malaysian state Selangor and seat of its sultan. They can be easily reached by train from Kuala Lumpur and explored in a half-day trip.

background

Since the beginning of the 16th century, Klang was the center of the most important tin production location in Malaysia. With the development of new tin deposits, the city later ceded this position to Kuala Lumpur, which was founded in 1850. The city is still of greater importance - it is not for nothing that the economically important region from the sea near Port Klang to Kuala Lumpur is also called today Klang Valley. The first road connecting Klang to Kuala Lumpur was built in 1920. Express highways and a railroad now run through the valley.
