Kozłówka is a historical place in Poland in the voivodeship Lublin. The place is north of Lublin and is known for its Rococo castle.

background

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1563. It was successively the residence of the Bieliński and Zamoyski. After the Third Partition of Poland in 1795, the place came successively to Prussia, the Duchy of Warsaw and finally to Congress Poland, which was part of the Russian Empire. After the First World War he became Polish again.

The castle was built from 1736 by the Ticino Giacomo Giuseppe Fontana for Michał Bieliński in rococo style. The heyday of the castle and park fell in the late 18th century when the castle came to the Zamoyski. The Zamoyski were expropriated in 1944 and fled abroad. Today the Museum of Communism is located in the castle.
